Description:
A broken 1970's GPO telephone recently came into my possession and I knew I had to utilise it. The sentiments invoked by the sound and feel of the dial transported me back to a simpler time in my life.
The telephone is the innovation with which you can track both the improvements in technology and the changing taste in fashion from when it was first invented right through to the modern day. This was the incarnation of the telephone when I entered into the journey.
Thus I dedicate this piece to all those venerable telephones entombed in landfill sites waiting to be resurrected and I give thanks to this phone for the reminiscences it invited.
