Threads are an Indie rock/art punk band from Northampton, UK. Formed in August 2010 out of disillusionment with the decay of their local music scene, the band spent two months recording demos and fine-tuning their sound, before taking to the live circuit. A debut EP ‘Capital Heroes’ followed, securing them festival and gig slots alongside bands such as GroupLove and Tellison. With a mix of heavy drums, funky baselines and soulful keys, THREADS are set to release their new EP ‘Surgery’ on November 14th. Experimenting with Foals-esque guitar riffs, Interpol styled heavy rising choruses, and dirty Test Icicles vocals, the EP is a lyrical journey in clinical cynicism, etching stories in the mind of the listener to a soundtrack of abrasive art rock tempered with dark, nervy guitar moments.
